Media Sculpture
While doing this project I had to think about how I could carve a sculpture into something that was non objective and abstract. The first step to making the non-objective sculpture was to mix the plaster. I had to use a 2 cups of a specific powder to make the plaster and then I added 1 cup water to make the liquid plaster. I poured the plaster into a bag and once it solidified peeled the bag off of the plaster, which had hardened by then, and started carving it. I did the same process another time but for the base of my sculpture. I didn't have to carve it into a shape because we had used juice boxes to make the shape which was a square. I picked this project to put into my portfolio because I had put a lot of hard work into making it and also because i liked it. I think that my weaknesses were carving too much because, i carved so much that my sculpture actually broke in half but something that I did strong was that i was very focused throughout the whole process.

Pannel Discussion
While doing this pannel discussion I had to think about the apartheid in south africa and how it influenced the lives of the people there. I chose to put this into my portfolio because I took time on it and I worked hard on it to make it a good paper. It took a long time to write and it shows my development from the beginning of the year. In the pannel discussion paper I used bigger vocabulary and constantly used evidence to back up the statements that I made.

Sex-Trafficking Op-ed Article
The sex trafficking op-ed article was another paper that I had done in humanities class. This was my first time doing a op-ed article and I chose it because I was proud of my work. I felt that I had done a good job  on this article because I gathered information from different areas to make one piece in the end. I was proud of myself because I used appropriate vocabulary, accurate information and I made it interesting and engaging.

End of the year Reflection
During the beginning of the year I was a focused student and towards the end of the year I Became less concerned about my work. This caused me to do not so good on test because I hadn't studied and waited until the last minute to do projects. I had constantly said the same thing every quarter. I said that I was going to hand in all of my homework on time and work to my best ability. I kept saying the same things over and over but seldom did it. At the end of the year, I realized that in order to be successful, I  need to put effort into my work and not procrastinate. My goal for next year is to hand in work on time and not procrastinate. I want to say that im going to do something and then put my words into action and not have my grade decline because of me not turning in assignments on time.
